Eleanor was born about 1277 in Of, Arundel, Sussex, England. Eleanor's father was John FitzAlan and her mother was Isabella Mortimer. Her paternal grandparents were John FitzAlan Earl of Arundel and Maud (Matilda) le Botiller (Verdon) Countess of Arundel. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John II (5Th Earl) Fitz, Richard, John, Richard, Joan, Maud and Amy. She died in July 1328. She was buried in , Beverley, Yorkshire, England.-
