John II (5Th Earl) Fitz was born in May 1223 in Arundel, Sussex, England.1 John II (5Th Earl) Fitz's father was John FitzAlan and his mother was Isabella Mortimer. His paternal grandparents were John FitzAlan Earl of Arundel and Maud (Matilda) le Botiller (Verdon) Countess of Arundel. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Richard, John, Richard, Joan, Maud, Amy and Eleanor. He died at the age of 44 on November 10th, 1267.1 General Notes
