Alberto's father was King of Westphalia Pharamond and his mother was of the Salic Franks Queen of Franks Argotta. His paternal grandfather was Duke of the East Franks Marcomir; his maternal grandfather was King of the Salic Franks Genebald and his maternal grandmother is unknown wife of Genebald. He had four brothers named King of Thuringia, Fredemundus, King of West Franks and Frotmund. He had three half-brothers named "Long-Hair" King of Westphalia, Adalbertus and of the Salic Franks.General Notes
