William Critton , Sr. 
William was born about 1762 in Hampshire County, West Va. William's father was Sr. John Chritton and his mother was Mary. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Isaac, Gabriel, James, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died about 1843 in Hampshire County, West Va.
