James Brown 
James was born on January 17th, 1681 in Marcus Hook,Delaware,Pennsylvania. James' father was James Brown and his mother was Honor Clayton. His paternal grandparents were Richard Brown and Mary Master; his maternal grandparents were Governor William Clayton and Prudence Lanckford. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Clayton, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ann, Margery and Mary. He is the oldest of the eight children.-
