William Fitzosbern De was born in 1030 in Poitiers, Poitou, France.  William Fitzosbern De's father is Osborne De Crepon [Steward Of Normandy] and his mother was Emma Aldreda of Ivry.  His maternal grandparents are Ralph Count of Ivry and Erneberge Albreda De Caux. He had a brother and two sisters, named Osbern, Emma and Weva.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Richard, Robert, William and Alice.  He died in Flanders.  He was buried in Cormeilles Abbey, , , France.1
