Elizabeth was born about 1424 in Of, Ashton u Lyne, Lancashire, England. Elizabeth's father is Thomas Ashton Sir Knight and her mother was Ellen Or Helena Byron. Her paternal grandfather was John Ashton Knight and her paternal grandmother is Jane Savile; her maternal grandfather was Sir John Byron Knight and her maternal grandmother is Margearet Booth. She had six brothers and a sister, named John, Edmund, Geoffrey, Nicholas, Orm, Thomas and Dulcia (Dowse). She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died in 1490.-
