Bishop of Metz was born about 0553 in Old Saxony, Ringleheim, Prussia, Ger.1 Bishop of Metz's father was Roman Senator of the Mosalli Ansbertus and his mother was Berthe , Of Kent, Princess Of Cologne. His paternal grandfather was Ansbertus Ferreolus , Margrave of Schelde and his paternal grandmother is Abbess of St Pierre de Rh Deuteria; his maternal grandparents were Charlbert I , King Of Paris and Ingoberge , Queen Of Paris. He had two brothers and a sister, named Erchenaud, Erchenaud and Gertrudis. He died in 0601 in Carthage (murdered).2 General Notes
