Harriet Susan was born on April 13th, 1855 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Harriet Susan's father was Calloway Underwood and her mother was Mary Ann Oaks. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John R., Hiram Calloway,Rev., Green Berry, Calloway T., Robert T., Celia, Jane, Mary Ann, Nancy, Nancy E. and Caroline. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 76 on May 1st, 1931 in Taylor Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
