James Braxton Tutor 
James Braxton was born on March 10th, 1893.1 James Braxton's father was Alfred Young Tutor and his mother was Charlotte L. Honeycutt. His paternal grandparents were William Madison Tutor and Harriet Ligon; his maternal grandparents are Solomon Honeycutt and Dolly Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, William Owen, Glover, Lemon Lee, Joanna, Phoebe, Magnolia T., Claudia Florence, Mary Etta and Mittie L.. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 in September 1974 in Fuquay, Varina, North Carolina.1 General Notes
