William Avery Tumlinson 
William Avery was born on January 8th, 1899 in Texas.1 William Avery's father was Jefferson Lee Tumlinson and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Slaughter. His paternal grandparents were William Pytus Tumlinson and Mary Ann Boykin. He had a brother and three sisters, named Alvin, Clare Mae, Beulah Elsie and Gladys. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother named Wilford H.. He died at the age of 79 on September 24th, 1978 in Llano, Llano Co., Texas.1 General Notes
