Francis Permelia was born on August 4th, 1859 in Gonzales Co., Texas.1 Francis Permelia's father was William Pytus Tumlinson and her mother was Mary Ann Boykin. Her paternal grandparents were James Stephen, Sr. Tumlinson and Mary Elizabeth White; her maternal grandparents are Scion Lee Boykin and Elizabeth E. Anderson. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named George William, Littleton F., William J., James Stephen, Bigham Scion, David Franklin, Jefferson Lee, Ann Elizabeth, Mary Margaret Ann, Melissa Adeline and Tillie Olla. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 76 on January 6th, 1936 in Luling, Caldwell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
