Thelma Elizabeth was born on February 12th, 1911 in Amarillo , Potter Co., Texas.1 Thelma Elizabeth's father was Leon Ernest Tubbs and her mother was Nancy Cornelia Johnston. Her paternal grandparents are William Tubbs and Caroline Bluff; her maternal grandparents were James Woodall Johnston and Sarah Sophia Harry. She had eleven brothers and three sisters, named George Thomas, Albert Jennings, Homer Henry, Omer, Leon Ollie, Lee Ernest, Walter Edward, Arthur Chester, Alfred, Clyde Erwin, James William, Mamie Ethel, Hazel and Beulah May. She was the sixth youngest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 82 on December 10th, 1993 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas.1 General Notes
