William E. Johnston

William E. was born in 1833 in Mississippi.¹   William E.'s father was John L. Johnson and his mother was Eliza McGee. He had a sister named Penelope.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 51 on January 28th, 1884 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.  He was buried in Wallis, Austin Co. ( Eight Miles Point), Austin Co., Texas.^1 1 

‌William E. and Elizabeth Miles were married in a religious ceremony on January 31st, 1853 in Austin Co., Texas.¹   They had three sons and five daughters, named James Woodall, Leander, William Franklin, Francis May McGee, Maria Jane, Alice Lizzie, Penelope Elizabeth and Eliza.
