John William Thompson 
John William was born on June 12th, 1863 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 John William's father was Thomas Jonathan Thompson and his mother was Mary Ann Warren. His maternal grandparents were William B. Warren and Elizabeth Salsman. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James F., Abraham, Elijah Jefferson, Samuel, Albert, Elizabeth Frances, Mary Susan, Lydia Alice, Darcus Ann and Nancy Jane. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 73 in 1936 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
