He had undergone an operation, Friday afternoon in the attem pt to sa ve his life. Mr. Tatum is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nina Tatu m, five chi ldren, Henry and Emmet Tatum of Gainsville, Mrs. Lottie Morr is and Mrs. Et hel Northern of Aspermont and Mrs. Wilma Underwood of Tiog a. There we re 24 grandchildren. Mr. Tatum was a member of the Tioga Bapt ist church a nd funeral services were to be held from that church Wednesd ay at 2:30 p. m. conducted by the pastor, the Rev. I. A. Bentley. Pallbea rer’s were mem bers of the Men's Bible class. Mr. Tatum was born in Ell is County Sept. 2 3, 1866, but was reared in the Blue Ridge Community, com ing to Tioga abo ut 13 years ago. Robert was a shoemaker in Tioga Texas. Robert played the violin, the neighbors loved to hear him play "Red Wi ng s" and would call and ask him to play it when he got home from work.
