John Alexander, Jr. was born on February 20th, 1926 in Dickson Co., Tennessee.1 John Alexander, Jr.'s father was John Alexander Spicer and his mother was Clara Lee Nesbitt. His paternal grandfather was James H. Spicer and his paternal grandmother is Martha Todd; his maternal grandparents are Ervin Nesbitt and Sarah Emma Stokes. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Ward Ervin, Ransom Warren, Slayden Leon, John Paul, James Henry, Ruby Lee, Effie Mai, Hazel Eula, Katherine Earline, Clara Mai, Emma Jean, Living and Living.
