Mary was born in 1831 in Muskingum Co., Ohio.1 Mary's father was David Snider and her mother was Sarah Mary Tipton. Her paternal grandparents were Moses Snider and Elizabeth Little. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John L., Isaac, William, Bowman, David, Hannah and Melvina. She is the oldest of the eight children.General Notes
