Rutha Jane Skaggs

Rutha Jane was born on December 5th, 1866.¹ Rutha Jane's father was Benjamin Owen Skaggs and her mother is Missouri Ann Carter. Her paternal grandfather was John Cannon Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is Lucinda Shofner. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John Benjamin, William Franklin, Robert W., Macklin Elisha, Jefferson Franklin, Alfred Thomas, Mary E., Sarah Ann and Mary Loucinda. She had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named Pleasant Carter, Richard C., James B., Samuel I., Herman Carter, Willie Robert and Catherine Howell.
