George Washington Skaggs

George Washington was born on March 5th, 1859 in Madison Co., Missouri.¹ George Washington's father was Stephen Skaggs and his mother is Nancy Cobb. His paternal grandfather was James Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Hannah Holbrook. He has five brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry, Melton Louis, Stephen,Jr., Joseph, Nancy E., Louisa and Mary C.. He is the second youngest of the nine children.
