Stephen Skaggs 
Stephen was born in 1813 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Stephen's father was James Skaggs and his mother is Hannah Holbrook. His paternal grandfather was Henry Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Berry Skaggs. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Henry Benton, Jesse, James,Jr., Jane and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 87 in 1900.1 General Notes
