James M. Shropshire

James M. was born about 1838 in Alabama.¹   James M.'s father was Green M. Shropshire and his mother was F. Catherine Bates.  His paternal grandfather is Namon Shropshire and his paternal grandmother was Patsy Perry. He had two brothers and two sisters, named David Namon, John William, Parilee E. and Susan E..  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died after 1880.¹ 

‌James M. and Ruth were married in a religious ceremony on January 1st, 1866 in Walker Co., Texas.¹   They had a son and a daughter, named J. L. (M) and Gertrude.
