Sarah E. Shorter

Sarah E. was born on April 14th, 1844 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.¹ Sarah E.'s father was James Shorter and her mother was Tamsey B. Ramsey. Her paternal grandparents were John Shorter and Nancy Palmore. She has two brothers and four sisters, named William M., John James, Malinda Francis, Louisa A., Nancy Ann and Tamsey Ann Palmyra. She is the third youngest of the seven children.
