John, Jr. Shorter

John, Jr. was born in 1723.¹   John, Jr.'s father was John Shorter and his mother is Elizabeth Underwood.  His maternal grandfather was Nathan Underwood and his maternal grandmother is Diana Unknown. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, William J. and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 31 in 1754.¹ 

They had three sons and a daughter, named John,3rd, William, James Archibald and Mary.
