William Jackson Salsman 
William Jackson was born on February 29th, 1856 in Big Brush Creek, Green Co., Kentucky.1 William Jackson's father was Charles Salsman and his mother was Sarah Lee. His paternal grandfather was Moses Salsman and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Charles Lee and Elizabeth Warren. He had two brothers and two sisters, named George William, Madison, Rachael Ann and Caroline. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 82 on March 7th, 1938 in LaRue Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Mt. Tabor Baptist Cemetery, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
