Caroline was born on April 12th, 1853 in Brush Creek Green Co., kentucky.1 Caroline's father was Charles Salsman and her mother was Sarah Lee. Her paternal grandfather was Moses Salsman and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown; her maternal grandparents were William Charles Lee and Elizabeth Warren.
