Her maternal grandfather is Richard M. Wise and her maternal grandmother was Nancy J. Johnson. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named John Thomas, William Bird, Ebb Orville, Eddie W., Richard L., Otto P., Nattie Earl, James Eli,Jr., Lula A., Allie M., Nannie Pearl and Flossie M.. She was the oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 38 on June 28th, 1911 in Hodgenville, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
