James Franklin Pridgen

James Franklin was born in 1908.¹ James Franklin's father was James Jeremiah Pridgen and his mother was Camilla Mildred Underwood. His maternal grandparents were Reuben Isam, Jr. Underwood and Martha Mildred Carter. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Walter Ray, Leonard Isam, Mamie Pearl, Laura Alice, Alma Ellinor, Mattie Irene, Bessie Ruth, Florence Eugenia and Ida Florida. He is the third youngest of the ten children.
