Claude Ambrose Price 
Claude Ambrose was born on July 4th, 1904 in ,Meramec Highland, Missouri.1 Claude Ambrose's father was Virgil Moten Price and his mother was Mary Magdalene Shearron. His paternal grandparents were George Price and Maria Elizabeth Basham. He had two brothers and a sister, named Lawrence Wagner, James Marvin and Helen Lorene. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 78 on November 11th, 1982 in Torrance, California. He was buried in Calvary Cem., St. Louis, Missouri.1 1 General Notes

Claude was born in Missouri. He was 29 when he married my mother, w
ho h ad a 3 year old girl, Joan, at the time. Claude and Lucille had thr
ee chi ldren and lived mainly in Edwardsville, IL. During that time , D
ad work ed as a welder and a shop forman at Shell Oil Refinery in W ood Ri
ver, Il l. He was seriously burned in a fire at Shell around 19 49. In a
bout 19 62 Dad and Mom moved to St. Louis.
In 1968 my mother died from cancer. Dad married Dorothy Wolff, my moth
er 's cousin, late in 1968. They lived in several homes in the St. Lou
is are a. The last home, in which they lived the longest, was in Webst
er Grove s, MO. Dad died from blood poisoning while on vacation in Torran
ce, C A. He was 78 years old.
