Lucille was born in St. Louis, MO in 1908. When she was about 21 yea
rs o ld, she married William Laschke. They had one child, Joan. When Jo
an w as one year old, her father died from tuberculosis in 1931. Mom al
so h ad a mild case of the disease. Mom was a widow for 2 years. In 193
3, s he married Claude Price, my father. Shortly after they were marrie
d, th ey moved to Nameoki, Il. There Janet was born. Subsequently , Mom a
nd D ad moved to Edwardsville, Il. where both Claudia and I were born.
Mom was a loving woman who was always with kids. She also had a bad te
mp er and could become depressed. She was a very good mother. Her who
le li fe was devoted to taking care of her family. She died from canc
er in 1968 .
‌Cecilia Rose (Lucille) and Claude Ambrose were married in a religious ceremony on September 9th, 1933 in St. John Nepomuk, St. Louis, Missouri.1 They had a son and two daughters, named Living, Living and Living.
