Mary Francis was born on October 25th, 1849 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 Mary Francis' father is Francis Marion Pierce and her mother is Lucinda Skaggs. Her paternal grandfather is James Pierce and her paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Skaggs; her maternal grandparents were Stephen Skaggs and Rhoda Warren. She was an only child.
