James Leonard, Jr. was born about 1830 in Smith Co., Tennessee.1 James Leonard, Jr.'s father was James Leonard Paris and his mother was Julia A. Hughes. His paternal grandfather is James Paris and his paternal grandmother was Sally Pendleton; his maternal grandfather was Leander, Sr. Hughes and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Fretwell. He had a brother and two sisters, named Archibald M., Sarah Ann and Martha L.. He was the oldest of the four children. He died about November 1894 in Crittenden Co., Kentucky.1 -
