John R. Uncle Jack was born on May 8th, 1823 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, ENG.1 John R. Uncle Jack's father was Ralph Megginson and his mother was Mary Richardson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George R., William R., Richard, Peter Dousland, Amos, Jane R., Elizabeth R. and Mary Ann. He died at the age of 84 in 1907.1 General Notes

John R. Uncle Jack and Fanny were married in a religious ceremony on January 16th, 1851 in ,Scott, IL.1 They had seven sons and four daughters, named George Amos, Richardson Dale, Ralph William, Joseph Peter Dousland, Robert Vincent, Reuben Coats, Simpson Shirley, Elizabeth Jane, Mary Luella, Linnie Teatheina and Georgia Hellena.
