Richard E was born on May 4th, 1868 in BUTLER COUNTY, KY.1 Richard E's father was James Goodson Maxey and his mother was Prudence Thornton. His paternal grandparents were Edward Maxey and Judy White. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jasper Mortimer, James Edward, Preston, Lucy A, Mary A and Sarah L. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Rufus W, Ivan A and Marada J. He died at the age of 73 on March 5th, 1942 in BUTLER COUNTY, KY.1 -
