Arthur Oran was born on February 2nd, 1876 in Argyle, Denton Co., Texas.1 Arthur Oran's father is Samuel Finley Lawler and his mother was Martha Jane Mattie McCauley. His maternal grandfather is Cornelius McCauley and his maternal grandmother was Rebecca Alcy Allen. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, James Walker, Claude Leonard, Harry Hayden and Cornelia. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 97 on February 12th, 1973 in San Antonio, Texas.1 General Notes
