Samuel Thomas Kirkland 
Samuel Thomas was born in 1849 in Pikesville, Bledsoe Co., Tennessee.1 Samuel Thomas' father was Jonas 'James' G. Kirkland and his mother was Minerva Ann Harris. His paternal grandparents were Zachariah Kirkland and Elizabeth Harris. He had a sister named Sara Ann. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 58 on October 8th, 1907. He was buried in Lake Creek Cem. (West of Bartlett, Ks. Labette, Co., ).1 1 General Notes
