John Keasler 
John was born in 1803 in Union County, South Carolina.1 John's father was Abraham Keisler and his mother was Nancy Boyd. His paternal grandfather was William Henry Kesler and his paternal grandmother is Wife Unknown; his maternal grandparents were John Boyd and Jane Bernardoe. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Samuel, David, Abraham, Jr., James, Joseph Cephus, Nathan, William L., Lemuel, Mary Jane and Nancy Jane. He is the oldest of the twelve children.-
