Ernestine Keahey

Ernestine was born in 1914 in Denton, Texas.¹ Ernestine's father was Henry Alexander Keahey and her mother was Claudia Mickey Long. Her paternal grandparents were Elijah John,Jr. Keahey and Margaret Ophelia Hamilton. She had two brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Roy Taylor, Ernest, Lora, Lola Lee, Jesse Kye, Lila Mae and Unknown.
