Mittie Mae was born on May 25th, 1896 in Texas.1 Mittie Mae's father was James Duncan,Rev. Graham and her mother was Samantha Clercy Rogers. Her paternal grandparents were Ozias Denton,Dr. Graham and Martha Matilda Thornton; her maternal grandparents were George Washington Lafayette Rogers and Sarah Ann Emaline Lamb. She had five brothers and four sisters, named George Washington, James Franklin, Elmer Marion, Edwin, Sterling Price, Martha Ann, Edna Pearl, Nettie Lee and Jennie Dean. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 64 on November 7th, 1960 in Durant, Bryan Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes
