Robert Hamilton Gilliland 
Robert Hamilton was born in 1878 in Cowley Co., Kansas.1 Robert Hamilton's father was John H. Gilliland and his mother was Margaret Snider. His maternal grandparents were John Snider and Mary Blount. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas David, Charles Henry, James Hughes, Guy G., Amos Franklin, Lillie May, Mary Alice, Elizabeth Margaret, Julia Ann, Eliza Ellen and Nellie Rose. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 59 on May 27th, 1937 in McPerson Co., Kansas.1 General Notes
