Mable Clair was born on July 4th, 1890 in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas.1 Mable Clair's father was William Silas George and her mother was Martha Leona Everett. Her maternal grandparents were Jesse Saunders Everett and Martha Jane Blackwell. She had three sisters named Marie Ethel, Jessie Odessa and Mada Lu. She was the second oldest of the four children.
