Sterling Pryor was born on March 28th, 1866 in Prentiss County, Mississippi.1 Sterling Pryor's father was Robert Beall I Gardner. His paternal grandparents were John Gardner and Emeline "Emily" Beall. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John Hightower, Obadiah Benjamin "Obie", James Wood, Judge Brantley, Robert Beall II, William Flournoy, Charlotte Emily Eugenia and Mary Lou. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died about 1944 in Baldwyn, Prentiss County, Mississippi.1 -
