Freda Shropshire was born on October 15th, 1893 in Tennessee.1 Freda Shropshire's father was Shields Logan Fowler and her mother was Mary Catherine Shropshire. Her maternal grandparents were John William Shropshire and Susan Caroline McDowell. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James Gatch, Conde Movle, Charyle Elizabeth, Nelle Caroline, Catherine French and Sheila Glynn. She is the oldest of the seven children.-
