Archibald Rodolphus was born on October 21st, 1888 in Salem, Fulton Co., Arkansas.1 Archibald Rodolphus' father was John David, Jr. Foust and his mother was Alice Armintia Bassham. His paternal grandparents are John David, Sr. Foust and Sarah Wood; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Frederick Howard Basham and Elizabeth Charity Ray. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel August, Cora Bell and Sarah Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the four children.
