Julia's father is Joseph Alston, Jr. Davidson and her mother is Juella Keaton. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Alston Davidson and Prudence Morrison. She has two brothers and three sisters, named James Alston, William Boyce, Cora D, Eugenia and Maye.
