William A Davenport 
William A was born on October 10th, 1851 in WARREN COUNTY, KY.1 William A's father was Shadrack Gorin Davenport and his mother was Sarah Best Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Fortunatas Pope Davenport and Martha Moore; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Taylor and Polly Ann Hudnall. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Fortunatus, George Washington, James H, Mary H, Matilda Frances and Mattie B. He was the oldest of the seven children.1 -
