Her maternal grandfather is William Stephen Johnston and her maternal grandmother was Hannah Jane Durant. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Arnold Steven, Marion Leon, Thelma Lee and Dorothy. She died at the age of 90 on June 17th, 1998 in Tarrant Co., Texas.
