Charles Ellet was born on January 18th, 1855.1 Charles Ellet's father was Wood Bouldin and his mother is Martha Daniel. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Tyler, Judge Bouldin and Nancy Anne Bickerton Lewis; his maternal grandparents are William Daniel and Margaret Baldwin. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Elvira Daniel, William Daniel, Briscoe Baldwin, Frank Deane, Martha Daniel, Anne Lewis, Alice Haxall, Virginia Stewart and Cornelia D..
