Zephaniah Blackford

Zephaniah was born in 1741.¹ Zephaniah's father is John Blackford and his mother was Hannah Martin. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Martin and Philoreta Slater. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jeremiah, Reuben A., Isaiah, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Ephraim, Nathaniel, Mary B., Esther, Eliza and Elizabeth. He is the oldest of the twelve children.
