Bessie Bethune

Bessie was born in 1876.¹ Bessie's father was Colin, MD. Bethune and her mother was Catherine Frances Blue. Her paternal grandparents were Lauchlin Bethune and Ann Patterson. She has three brothers and two sisters, named William A., Edgar J., Colin C., Flora Ella and Katie Lee. She is the youngest of the six children.
